Deenergize Unit and perform
LOTO
- Electrocution 1. Shut off breaker to HVAC unit and perform LOTO Procedures.
Review and follow LOTO Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
Complete the ICS Energy Isolation Permit. Note: If electrical
wiring must be removed from electrical panel work must be
performed by a licensed electrician.
M
2. Accessing Rooftop - Open Holes
- Unauthorized/ Untrained personnel
- Working at Heights/Falls
1. Verify with client that the rooftop is structurally sound before
attempting to access it. Ensure all open holes have been covered
using wood or solid material and check that all rooftop skylights
are protected by a physical barrier.
2. Verify that all personnel have Fall Protection Training before
allowing access to rooftop.
3. Eliminate exposure to a fall by using the following A.) Hazard
Elimination, only essential personnel shall be allowed access, B.)
Passive Fall Protection including physical barriers like
guardrails around unprotected edges and covers over holes, C.)
Fall Restraint Systems such as PPE to limit the workers range so
they cannot fall, D.) Fall Arrest Systems such as PPE to arrest a
fall within acceptable force and clearance margins, E.) Inspect
integrity of
protection equipment (e.g., Belts, Harnesses, Lanyards, yoyo).
H
NC-25-1137 Tiwana & Sons
1210 East Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210
