Rigging of UST for Lift (if <br />applicable) <br />- Unsecured Load <br />- Improper Rigging <br />1. Use straps and shackles that are properly rated for the load <br />being moved. Do not use rigging gear that is broken, frayed or <br />compromised in anyway, check all connection points at tank and <br />lift points on equipment, Fasten shackles to lifting eyes on tank, <br />complete the Rigging Equipment Inspection Checklist. <br />2. Rigging of tank shall be performed by Crane Operator. <br />M <br />7. Initial Lift of Tank - Property damage or bodily Injury <br />from uncontrolled load <br />1. Do not stand in the line-of-fire, ground support person must <br />use a tag line to maintain control of load and prevent it from <br />striking property. All non-essential personnel shall remain <br />outside the exclusion zone and stay minimum of of 50' feet way <br />during lift, verify that load is secure. <br />H <br />8. Place tank onto tractor trailer - Pinch Points <br />- Unsecured Load <br />- Vehicle Rolling Away <br />1. Keep hands, head and body out of the line-of-fire of <br />equipment and tank as it can shift or roll. <br />2. Block tank to prevent rolling, do not allow excess slack on <br />straps or chain until tank has been strapped down to truck bed. <br />Tank must be strapped down with a minimum of two straps <br />regardless of size. <br />3. Set parking brake and chock tires of transport vehicle. <br />M <br />9. Clean-up and Depart site - Vehicle and Equipment Traffic <br />- Housekeeping <br />- Misdirected Waste <br />1. Keep all traffic control devices in place until all items have <br />been removed or stowed, watch where you walk, use a spotter if <br />eye contact cannot be maintained with drivers or operators. <br />2. Perform a thorough walk-around of the site prior to departing <br />and verify that all tools materials and equipment have been <br />picked up and trash is removed. <br />3.
