18

4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK ANALYSIS

4.1 NON-CHEMICAL HAZARD SUMMARY

Field staff must review the job-specific work plan and coordinate with the project manager to
verify that all up-front logistics are completed before starting work, including, but not limited to,
permitting, access agreements, and notification to required contacts. A tailgate safety meeting
must be held and documented at the beginning of each workday.

Mental Risk Assessment (MRA) procedures must be used during field activities. Weather
conditions (heat, cold, rain, and lightning) must also be considered. An Activity Hazard Analysis
(AHA) has been completed for the project. If site conditions change, a blank AHA will be included
for completion in the field. All Hot Work activities must be pre-approved by the SSO and or HSO.

Table 4-1 presents a summary assessment of non-chemical hazards.

Table 4-1 Assessment of Non-Chemical Hazards

Non-Chemical Hazard Yes No
1. .
