Monitor at the source first; if <br />the source concentration is near or above the action level concentration, monitor in the breathing zone. <br />2 Monitored levels will require using an approved respiratory protection system specified in Table 6-2. <br />3 Call the Project Manager and Health and Safety Officer for consultation. <br /> <br /> <br />6.3 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND LEVELS OF PROTECTION <br />Minimum PPE requirements are provided in Table 6-2 below. The SSO or HSO may upgrade, or <br />downgrade PPE based on site conditions and air monitoring results. PPE is considered a <br />secondary line of defense to Elimination/Substitution and engineering and/or work practice <br />controls. <br /> <br />
