Foothill Landfill
Monitoring Implementation Plan

MIP Page 27
8.0 Implementation of the Storm Water Monitoring Program
The General Permit requires that a QA/QC program be prepared to ensure that all elements
of the MIP are implemented and that they are implemented by properly trained personnel.
This program consists of two parts.
The first part of the QA/QC program is the Annual Storm Water Monitoring Program
Checklist, which lists the elements of the MIP that are to be completed by the Facility
personnel.
The second part of the QA/QC program is to ensure that the monitoring program is
implemented by appropriate individuals who understand the requirements of the SWPPP
and MIP. Each person who will perform or supervise sampling and/or perform discharge
point inspections (storm and dry season) in accordance with this program must have a
working knowledge of this plan, be familiar with the facility's SWPPP, and be otherwise
qualified to carry out the associated tasks. Each of these persons will receive a copy of this
program for their review and will be annually trained on the requirements of this
monitoring plan and proper sample collection and water quality monitoring practices.
