Amounts being
logged under the different headings are meant to be as follows: Manure tons - measures as
thousands of pounds (16 on the log equates to 16,000 pounds), Wood Shavings Tons -
measures as thousands of pounds (12 on the log equates to 12,000 pounds). Compost Sold
information was not being recorded on this log. It was being recorded on the temperature
logs. Noted to operator to record compost sold on the Compost logs under "Compost Sold"
heading.
6. Fly population was light and concentrated to the new material that was most recently added
to the windrows. Towards the middle and end of the windrows, no fly population was
observed.
7. Odor near the compost was very strong. Once leaving the composting structure the odor
was reduced significantly. No odor at all is discernable off site.
8. Last lab analysis received by the LEA was on 11/4/24. Lab analysis results for this year
have not been received by the LEA. A reminder of the lab analysis results for the compost was
sent to the operator on 10/23/25.
