Compostable Materials Handling Operation and Facility Inspection <br /> Report (93) <br /> Forward Resource Recovery Facility (39-AA-0020) <br /> 8/19/2025 <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. The second quarter SB1383 measurements were provided. <br /> 2. Odors and track out were light. <br /> 3. Flies were light throughout the site, except the fly population was moderate at the garbage <br /> pile. Bait stations were observed and functional. <br /> 4. The following temperatures were measured during the inspection: <br /> • Incoming green waste ranged from 96°F to 122°F. <br /> • Ground green waste ranged from 144°F to 168°F. <br /> • Windrows ranged from 140°F to 168°F. <br /> • Finished compost was 136°F. <br /> • Finished product ranged from 142°F to 158°F. <br /> • Overs were 82°F. <br /> 5. Litter was not observed on neighboring properties. Litter on site was moderate. <br /> 6. Records were reviewed. <br /> 7. The weather during the inspection was 71 OF with a southeast wind of 6 mph. <br /> 8.
