Compostable Materials Handling Operation and Facility Inspection <br /> Report (93) <br /> Forward Resource Recovery Facility (39-AA-0020) <br /> 1/13/2026 <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. Ponding observed at various areas of the site due to recent rain events. Operator shall <br /> repair depressions to prevent future ponding. <br /> 2. Odors and track out were light. <br /> 3. Bait stations were observed and functional. <br /> 4. The following temperatures were measured during the inspection: <br /> • Incoming green waste was 108°F. <br /> • Ground green waste was 130°F. <br /> • Windrows ranged from 136°F to 142°F. <br /> • Finished compost ranged from 122°F to 156°F. <br /> • Finished product was 146°F. <br /> • Overs were 140°F. <br /> 5. Litter on site was light and litter was not observed off site. <br /> 6. Records were reviewed. <br /> 7. The southeast portion of the site was not accessible. Operator shall grade the area to make <br /> it accessible for future inspections. <br /> 8. The weather during the inspection was 430F with a southwestern windspeed of 2 mph. <br /> 9. Per operator, the grinder has been down since Saturday and it is in the process of being <br /> repaired.
