•K <br /> Work Plan: <br /> I. Purpose <br /> A. The purpose of this TO is to conduct soil surveys for heavy metals, Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), and pesticides. <br /> B. Results from the investigation will be used to estimate removal and disposal costs, <br /> classify the soil for reuse if needed,provide information for worker&public <br /> safety, and to identify a need for training/monitoring requirements, if applicable. <br /> II. Project Background <br /> The California Department of Transportation is proposing a project on the Stockton <br /> Channel Viaduct(SVC). The preferred alternative will replace the NB and SB <br /> structures (29-176L/R) of the SCV on a modified mainline alignment and relocate the <br /> existing N. Pershing Ave exit ramp. Fremont St on-ramp and SR 4 connectors will be <br /> reconstructed due to the vertical profile raise of the SCV. <br /> III. Scope of Work <br /> From State right of way 40 borings will be advanced via direct-push or hand-auger.Depth of the <br /> borings will vary by locations(see map): <br /> Boring Depth Quantity Sample interval (Feet- Bottom) <br /> 15' 11 0/2/5 / 10/ 15 <br /> 5' 7 0/2/3 /5 <br /> 3' 22 0/ 1.5 /3 <br /> The following analysis will be performed: <br /> Test Quantity <br /> CAM 17 Metals 149 <br /> WET Extraction 45 <br /> WET Analysis 45 <br /> TCLP Extraction 45 <br /> TCLP Analysis 45 <br /> OCPs 20 <br /> TPHg 83 <br /> TPHd/TPHmo 83 <br /> pH 40 <br /> Total 555 <br /> The borings will be destroyed/abandoned per county requirements. <br />
