Airport Way, Manteca CA 95336
SR2501746, APN: 177-480-27
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Revised
Plan Check Engineer Design for the proposed septic system submitted February 10, 2026, and
has the following comments for your consideration.
1. An annual Alternative Engineered Onsite Wastewater Treatment System permit must be
obtained and fees paid yearly with the EHD for annual inspection and sampling.
2. Per Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study under SU-2500835, the existing
private domestic well shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and
nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to
issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken to and analyzed by a State-
approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-601.0200)).
Based on the information provided the EHD concurs with the proposed OWTS design as
described in this report which includes the following highlighted design criteria:
1. Installation of an oversized 2,000-gallon septic tank which will be connected to the Orenco
AdvanTex AX20 Mode 3A by an Orenco qualified professional.
2. Installation of the Biotube Pump Model PF300511 with the connection of high-level
alarms.
3. It is the owner's responsibility to follow operation and maintenance plan to ensure the
system meets all requirements set forth in the design in conformity with San Joaquin
County (OWTS) Standard.
4. Obtain an installation permit for the engineered onsite wastewater treatment system
(OWTS) from EHD. Inspection is required before backfilling of OWTS excavations.
Request inspection 24 hours in advance by calling the inspection line (209) 953-7697.
1868 E.
