Based on our records, the EHD has not received the results for the <br />following chemical monitoring that the California Safe Water Drinking Act (SDWA) requires of this water system. <br />In order to prevent this water system from becoming out of compliance with the SDWA, contact your California <br />Certified Lab and make arrangements to have water samples collected from the wellhead(s), except for lead and <br />copper, which samples are collected from the distribution system. Instruct the laboratory to sample for Nitrate <br />by December 31, 2009. If the system has been sampled, then forward a copy of the result(s) to the EHD. If by <br />Jan 10, 2010, the EHD has not received the result(s) then Lower Sac Plaza Water System will be in violation of <br />the SDWA and further enforcement may be required. <br />n VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCs): Required once e\ery 6 years (CCR, Title 22, Section <br />L* 64445.1.) <br />p-. SECONDARY (AESTHETICS): General Mineral and General Physical are due once every 3 years <br />(California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 22, Section 64449 (c)). <br />|—| SYNTHETIC ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (SOCs): Required once e\«ry three years (CCR, Title 22, Section <br />L-1 64445.1). This Department currently waives SOCs except for DBCP and EDB. <br />j-. RADIOLOGICAL:Gross alpha: Required every quarter, three, six, nine years; Combined Radium 228 and <br />Radium 226: Required quarterly for one year (CCR, Title 22, Section 64441). <br />I—I Lead and Copper: Required once every six months for one year, then once every three years if below the detection <br />limit. Samples collected at drinking faucets (CCR, Title 22, Chapter 17.5). <br />Please be aware that you may be billed at a rate of $115 per hour for this and any further enforcement activity <br />required by EHD to obtain the sample results, documents, or actions EHD has requested within this letter. <br />Failure to submit the required forms and results will result in a Procedural Violation that is billed at a two hour <br />minimum rate of $230. <br />p. INORGANIC CHEMICALS: Required once every three years (CCR, Title 22, Section 64432 (b)(1)).
