Method 8: <br />Method 9: <br />Method 10: <br />Method 11: <br />Method 12: <br />(Weekly Newspaper Notice of Procedural Failure) - Notice shall be <br />given once within three months of the violation or failure by <br />publication in a weekly newspaper of general circulation in the <br />area served by the water system. <br />(Mail Delivery of Notice of Procedural Failure) - Notice by direct <br />mail or with the water bill shall be given at least once every three <br />months for as long as the violation or failure continues. <br />(Daily Newspaper Notice of Procedural Failure) - Notice shall be <br />given within three months of the violation or failure by publication <br />in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the area served by <br />the system. <br />PUBLIC NOTIFICATION METHODS <br />FOR <br />PROCEDURAL FAILURE <br />(Hand Delivery of Notice of Procedural Failure) - Notice by hand <br />delivery shall be given once within three months of the violation <br />or failure. Repeat notice by hand delivery shall be given at least <br />once every three months for as long as the violation or failure <br />exists. <br />* Please provide this Department with a copy of the Public Notice and the method of <br />notification used. <br />The methods of notification are described in Section 64464.1. Section 64464.6 <br />(b)(2) specifies that notification shall be by Method 8 and by either Method 10 or 11, <br />as described below. If there is no daily newspaper of general circulation serving the <br />area served by the system then notification shall be by Method 9 and by either <br />Method 10 or 11. If there is no daily or weekly newspaper of general circulation <br />serving the area served by the system then notification shall be Method 11 or 1 2 as <br />described below. <br />(Continuous Posting of Notice of Procedural Failure) - Notice by <br />posting in conspicuous places within the area served by the <br />system shall be initiated within three months of the violation or <br />failure. Posting shall continue for as long as the violation or <br />failure exists.
