JUL 1 5 1993July 14th,1993
Gentlemen:
Sin
0
i requesting that you hold our check until
request has been made.
am now asking
as we only
and I am not sure that our
"private water
'Morada Oaks School
5035 Hickory Road
Stockton, CA 95212
I am
our
(\ 0
/ ■<'
environmentalheauh
h permit/SERVICES
As I had discussed in our telephone conversation, I
the the requirement of this fee be waived completely,
currently service 14 to 15 children,
small daycare was the intent of such monitoring of
systems that serve the public".
San Joaquin County
Public Health Services
1601 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, Ca
a determination on
Per our telephone conversation, I am writing this letter to
complain about the recent increase in fees that we must pay
because of the private well we use to service our home and a small
day care facility we have in back. While I can certainly
understand the need to have the quality of the water checked on a
periodic basis, as we have done, I CANNOT COMPREHEND how it
necessitates the payment of $300.00 per year to open four
envelopes from the lab that we pay to test the water and read the
results. I-understand that you must issue reports, but how long
can it possibly take to type in the results for my little well?
I look forward to your timely response.
I am including a check in the amount of $300.00 for this fee,
even though I am requesting to be removed from this regulation,
as I do not wish to get passed the due date and then be charged
double. As a very small daycare, we cannot afford the $300.00
fee, let alone $600.00. Here, again, I take exception to your
policy. If a bank set up a requirement of doubling any payment
that was made late, the government would have them up on charges
for loan sharking. How can you possibly justify such a position?
