Program Element: 2304 - UST REMOVAL <br />Telephone: Requestor: <br />Inspection Type: 134 - UST REMOVAL INSPECTION <br />Address: 15999 W CORRAL HOLLOW RD , TRACY 95377 <br />Date: 10/09/2025Name of Facility: Lawrence Livermore National Lab - Site 300 <br /> Service Request Inspection Report <br />Request #: SR2501291 <br />Environmental Health Department <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />An onsite inspection was conducted during the removal of a 1,500-gallon diesel underground storage tank (fiberglass over steel). <br />• Contractor Wayne Perry, Inc. had on site the required documentation, including the Approval Letter with supporting packet <br />and the Health and Safety Plan, was available onsite. <br />• Verified that the tank was triple-rinsed prior to removal. <br />• Observed two 55-gallon drums containing rinsate onsite, each properly labeled. The drums are to be transported for disposal <br />by Clean Harbors Environmental Services (EPA ID: MAD039322250). <br />• The tank had 7 feet of associated piping. <br />• Upon removal, no noticeable rust or holes were observed on the exterior or bottom of the tank. <br />• No evidence of leakage, staining, or soil contamination was observed within the excavation area. <br />• Stockpile volume: Approximately 8 cubic yards. <br />• Excavation dimensions: 16 ft (L) × 8 ft (W) × 9 ft (D). <br />• Soil sampling was witnessed, conducted by Michael Hendry of Trans Tech Consultants. Samples included: <br />o Two tank samples (D1-E and D1-W) collected from both ends of the excavation at a depth of 10 feet. <br />o One piping sample (L1). <br />o One stockpile sample (DISP-1A). <br />• Samples are to be analyzed by McCampbell Analytical, Inc., located at 1534 Willow Pass Road, Pittsburg, CA 94565. <br />• The end of the tank was spray painted with CERS ID: 10154767-003. <br />• The tank was transported by Adams Services, Inc. <br />• The approved disposal site is Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., located at 1101 Embarcadero West Oakland, CA 94607. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
