There was no change in process/activities/types of materials handled at Stockton terminal that changed
the classification to non-haz.
Below is an example of the type of discussion I had in '23-'24 timeframe asking our waste vendor(AIS)to
sample and change the debris profiles back to non-haz for all 6 of my CA refined product terminal sites
because he was also supporting over ten of Marathon's heavy crude oil type terminal sites in Los Angeles
and was starting to (out of convenience and over conservatism) use their debris profiles for my sites. I
provided him with lots of historical data for my type of sites and asked him to resample and we
reclassified my sites back to non-haz. Also in '24, we switched from AIS to Patriot for waste
management in NorCal for Stockton (due to geographical costs) and I asked Patriot to sample/reprofile
Stockton's debris back to non-haz (which is the Stockton site specific profile and analytical data I sent
you during the site visit). In addition, attached is abroad exemption for petroleum debris as long as it
doesn't contain free liquids located in the CA Health &Safety Code (which our routine materials do
not). I am very confident that the current profiling for Stockton terminal is the most
accurate/representative of the site's activities and the data supports that as well.
I hope you have a wonderful long holiday weekend. If disposal doesn't reject it we should not have
any issues moving forward.
Thankyou
Jose Hernandez
AIS Waste Coordinator
1502 E Opp St
Wilmington CA 90744
(424) 521-0733
JhernandezPamericanintegrated.com
2
