She stated that waste generated on site is typically removed by the service <br /> technicians but that no documentation is ever left. <br /> -During the inspection, the UST service technician on site asked Hasina if the facility has a hazardous waste drum for the <br /> waste liquid generated from the spill container test and Hasina was unable to answer. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. 4 <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 6 CA Code of Regulations 66262.40(a) 3010010 - Signed copy of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest kept for 3 years <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for petroleum contaminated <br /> solids for the past three years during the inspection. <br /> -Supervisor Hasina Nasir stated that the facility generated hoses from the fuel dispensers as waste approximately 7 <br /> months ago but was unable to provide disposal records. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance with <br /> section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility which <br /> received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the waste was <br /> accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years, 8/12/2022 through 8/12/2025, for <br /> all hazardous waste including petroleum contaminated solids and petroleum contaminated liquids.
