Obtain an Insignia from the State Housing and Community Development prior to EHD <br /> inspection. Their phone number is 916-255-2501. <br /> 2. Entrance doors to food preparation area and service openings shall be self-closing. <br /> (CRFC Section 114303) <br /> 3. Passthrough window service openings: <br /> a• Shall be no more than 216 square inches and no less than 18 inches apart. <br /> b. Shall be covered with solid material or screen. If screen is used it must be at feast 16- <br /> mesh per inch. (CRFC Section 114259.2) <br /> All manufactured and custom-made food service equipment must be certified for <br /> J sanitation by an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited certification <br /> program. All proposed equipment is subject to EHD approval [CRFC §1141301. <br /> 5. Light bulbs and tubes shall be covered and completely enclosed in plastic safety shields <br /> j or the equivalent. (CRFC Section 114323). <br /> 6. Mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be provided over all cooking equipment <br /> as required to effectively remove cooking odors, smoke, steam, grease, heat, and vapors. <br /> All mechanical exhaust ventilation equipment shall be installed and maintained in <br /> accordance with the California Mechanical Code.
