Offsite Assessment Work Plan
LARRY'S AUTO
308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
AdvancedGeo, Inc. (AGI) has prepared this Offsite Assessment Work Plan for the
property located at 308 North Grant Street, Stockton, California (site or subject property).
The scope of work includes advancing four soil borings to the north and northeast of the
site to collect shallow grab groundwater samples.
This work plan was prepared as directed by Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) letter dated 18 September 2020 and (Appendix A). The site and
surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Historical boring and well locations, and
proposed soil boring locations are depicted in Figure 2. Historical grab groundwater and
monitoring analytical data are summarized in Tables 1 and 2.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
To complete groundwater plume delineation to the north and northeast of Tanks A and
D, AGI proposes to advance four direct push soil borings to collect grab groundwater
samples from the first encountered water bearing zone (30 to 40 feet). The soil borings
will be advanced on the north side of Lindsay Street, within the City of Stockton right-of-
way (Figure 2).
2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). In addition, a health and safety plan will be
updated in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for
Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).
Prior to mobilization, each proposed boring location will be clearly marked, and a utility
clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
2.2. SOIL BORING ADVANCEMENT
A total of four (4) borings will be advanced on Lindsay Street to the north and northeast
of Tank A and D. All borings will be advanced utilizing a direct push drilling rig equipped
with 1.5- to 2-inch diameter probing rods. All borings will be advanced to a total depth of
40 feet below surface grade (bsg) or until first groundwater is encountered.
Soil samples will be collected from all borings continuously between 5 and 40 feet bsg.
Soil samples will be evaluated for lithological purposes only, unless field evidence
indicates petroleum impact. Field personnel may adjust the frequency and method of
