COVID-19 PREVENTION
The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic requires the implementation of various safety
measures to help prevent it's spread. COVID-19 is spread primarily through the inhalation
of respirable droplets from symptomatic and asymptomatic people. To a lesser extent,
the coronavirus can be spread through touching the eyes, nose or mouth. In order to
lower the potential risk of exposure to workers, AGI recommends following CDC
guidelines which include:
• Maintain social distancing (at least 6 feet) when applicable. In instances were
social distancing cannot be maintained, a facemask is recommended to prevent
the transmission of respirable droplets. It is incumbent on the SSO to determine
when conditions mandate that facemasks are required.
• Wash hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. If unavailable,
sanitizers with 70 percent ethyl alcohol can be substituted.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
