A total of three (3)additional borings at each proposed location will then be advanced
separately for collection of grab groundwater samples (Figure 2). The proposed CPT soil
borings will be advanced in the following general locations:
• One soil boring will we advanced just to the north of the intersection of West Clay
Street and Harrison Street.
• A total of three soil borings will be advanced on South Lincoln Street between West
Clay Street and Jackson Street.
• One soil boring will be advanced on Lincoln Street between West Jackson Street
and West Jefferson Street.
• A total of three soil borings will be advanced on West Jefferson Street.
Soil borings will be advanced to total depths between 60 and 70 feet bsg; between 90-
100 feet bsg; and between 100 and 120 feet bsg to collect groundwater samples from the
intermediate and deep water-bearing zones. Soil samples will not be collected during
drilling. Grab groundwater samples will be analyzed by a California Environmental
Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP)-certified lab for the following:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and
TPH-d) in accordance EPA method 8015M.
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes
(BTEX); fuel oxygenates tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME); and lead-based fuel
scavengers: ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in
accordance with EPA Method 8260B.
Laboratory reports for water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody documentation
will be presented in a report with the findings and recommendations.
2.3. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be
prepared presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description
of the work performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions, applicable
recommendations, and maps will be included in the report. The report will be reviewed
and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
3.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGI representative under the supervision of a
California Professional Geologist. Procedures for the advancement of soil borings,
sampling, and boring abandonment are outlined below.
