Complainant states they went to the doctor <br />and allegedly tested positive with Campylobacteriosis. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Measured the free residual chlorine of the pool at 0.8 ppm. Provide free residual chlorine at 2.0 ppm - 10 ppm <br />prior to opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. Met with pool maintenance manager and general manager. Discussed reason of site visit. Took <br />readings of Boo Boo Lagoon pool. Free residual chlorine was tested at 0.8 ppm. Windy conditions were causing debris from <br />nearby tress to accumulate in pool. Crew was working to clean pool and adjust chemicals prior to opening. Testing is conducted <br />of chemicals prior to opening up to the public on a daily basis. Hot tub was being refilled at time of inspection. Observed <br />accident logs from facility. Closest incident date to date of complaint was 9/22/24. Solid stool- pool free chlorine at closure was <br />2 ppm and pH was 7.8. Exact location of incident was not provided in log. Facility followed procedures to raise chlorine, <br />maintain pH levels, and allow contact time with chlorine per establish procedure.
