GENERAL SAFETY MEASURES <br /> Access to the project site shall be limited by the exclusion zone. The exclusion zone shall include an area <br /> at least 20 feet from the drill rig or excavation and associated equipment. Personnel shall not be allowed in <br /> the exclusion zone without proof of OSHA training certification and appropriate personal protective <br /> equipment. No smoking will be allowed in the exclusion zone. <br /> All Condor personnel,subcontractors, and consultants shall adhere to the provisions of the Condor Site Safety <br /> Plan including all applicable elements of the Condor Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP). <br /> All of the above personnel who participate in fieldwork at the site will attend a safety indoctrination provided <br /> by the Condor Site Safety Officer. The Condor Site Safety Plan is maintained with the work plan. Copies of <br /> the health and safety plan shall be available to all working units of Condor, its subcontractors, and consultants. <br /> SITE SAFETY OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> The Site Safety Officer shall monitor all activities of equipment and personnel at the project site. Site Safety <br /> Officer responsibilities will include the following: <br /> 1. Limiting access to the exclusion zone to authorized personnel. <br /> 2. Providing a written log of on-site activities and events. <br /> 3. Notification of regulatory agencies during emergency procedures. <br /> 4. Enforcement of contaminant exposure site safety precautions. <br /> 5. Documenting all injuries and safety incidents. <br /> SKIN/CLOTHES PROTECTION <br /> Steel-toed boots will be worn during all activities. <br /> Hard hats will be worn during all activities. <br /> EYE/EAR PROTECTION <br /> Safety glasses will be worn during all activities. <br /> Hearing protection will be worn during all drilling activities. <br /> VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY <br /> All Condor vehicles used on site during the course of work shall be equipped with a first aid kit and a dry <br /> chemical fire extinguisher(10 BC minimum rating). <br /> All cabs are to be kept free of all non-essential items and all loose items secured. <br /> The rated load capacity of a vehicle is not to be exceeded at any time or under any circumstances. <br /> Drill rig cables, hoses, and ropes are to be safely secured and periodically checked for abrasion or defect. <br /> Unsafe equipment shall be replaced immediately. Other equipment will be safely stored and secured when <br /> not in use. <br /> The Site Safety Officer shall review with all personnel and subcontractors the equipment inspection checklist <br /> for company vehicles. The Site Safety Officer shall also confirm that the drill rig operator has performed a <br /> pre-startup safety inspection/observation prior to the start of work. <br />
