January 31,2023
SITE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN
FORMER D&D FLYING SERVICE
600 NORTH HOLT ROAD
STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA
PROJECT NO: 06304-01
(SITE ID: SLT5S053744)
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The subject property located at 600 N Holt Road in Stockton (Site) was previously operated the
D&D Flying Service (D&D). Between 1981 - 1988, D&D washed the exterior of agricultural aircrafts
used for pesticide applications on the northeastern portion of a dirt airstrip, which was on the
north portion of the subject property. Pesticide containing rinse water from the washed planes was
reportedly drained directly onto the soil while D&D was in operation. The subject property is listed
as an "Open - Inactive" case with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB) as of January 2, 19851. Although the D&D Flying Service company has since dissolved,
the case is open and an investigation to determine potential impacts to soil and groundwater to
evaluate pesticide impacts has been requested through the CVRWQCB Site Cleanup Program.
Petralogix Engineering, Inc. (Petralogix), on behalf of 140 Orchard, has prepared this Former D&D
Flying Service Site Investigation Work Plan to assess current concentrations of pesticides in soil and
groundwater where the agricultural planes were washed.
1.1 Scope
The scope of work for this site investigation is:
• Drill and sample four (4) hollow-stem auger soil boring locations, each location advanced to
a depth of 1.5 feet below ground surface (bgs) in the location of the former plane rinse area,
including adjacent to the canal.
• Drill and sample one (1) hollow-stem auger boring to groundwater, estimated at
approximately 10 feet below ground surface; the groundwater boring location will be co-
located with the soil boring location (131) in the former plane rinse area.
• Borings will be logged by a California Professional Geologist
• Soil and groundwater samples will be collected, preserved, transported, and analyzed in
accordance with California DTSC site assessment guidance.
• Submit soil and groundwater samples to California ELAP-accredited laboratory for analysis
of organochlorine pesticides.
• Prepare a site assessment report including a map of borings, boring logs, laboratory results,
findings, and human health risk assessment for unrestricted use.
https://aeotracker.waterboards.ca.gov/profile_report?global_id=SLT5S5053744
Petralogix Engineering,Inc.
26675 Bruella Road,Galt,Ca 95632
_j
(209)-400-5729
www.petralogix.com
