The piezometers will be
installed using hollow stem drilling methodology. The selected driller, Penecore Drilling, is a C-
57 certified environmental driller. In email correspondence dated 4 May 2023 the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) requested the installation of three
piezometers in first encountered groundwater at the Site. Groundwater is anticipated to be
encountered at a depth of approximately 5-feet below ground surface. Therefore, an
approximately 5-foot surface seat is anticipated to be required for each piezometer to screen
within first groundwater.
Please find the enclosed well permit application package. Included in this application package
are the following:
• Attachment 1 — Well and Boring Permit Application, including maps and Penecore
Drilling C-57 licensed contractor declaration;
• Attachment 2—Piezometer Installation Work plan
• Attachment 3—CVRWQCB Approval of the work plan to install the piezometers;
• Site Mitigation Master File Record Information Form; and
• Payment check in the amount of$936 for the permit application
This work is scheduled for late August 2023 pending San Joaquin County approval of this
permit. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding this permit
application.
