All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is below 1 ppm. Adjust to 1 ppm to 10 ppm. Close pool until the corrections are made and <br />verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is above 8. Adjust to 7.2 to 7.8. Close pool until the corrections are made and verified by this <br />department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life ring was observed without a throw rope. Provide a throw rope for the life ring today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Both skimmers lacked weirs. Install all parts to the skimmers within one week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall <br />be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
