Additionally, in 2020, Partner installed two offsite soil vapor probes (SG-40 and SG-41) south of the Site on the north side of Scarlett Place. Two rounds of sampling were completed after installation, one in December 2020 the other in June of 2021. Results from the first round of sampling in December 2020, were above the PCE RWQCB Residential ESL of 15 pg/m3, whereas results from the second round completed in June 2021 were slightly above or below the PCE RWQCB Residential ESL (SG-40 was 13 pg/m3 and SG-41 was 16 pg/m3). Results are summarized on Table 1. As directed in DTSC's August 31, 2022 memorandum, additional soil gas sampling will be performed along the western and southern property borders and at the residences located west and south of the Site. Additionally, the proposed indoor/outdoor sampling at the former dry cleaner building will be expanded to include the supermarket building, and temporary wells will be installed to evaluate the vertical distribution of COPCs in groundwater. The proposed scope of work to complete the sampling is provided in Section 3.
