COVID-19 Interim <br /> Health & Safety Guidance <br /> 1. PURPOSE <br /> This guidance has been implemented to establish work practices, administrative procedures, and engineering <br /> controls to minimize potential exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The following guidance <br /> has been developed based on local, state and federal recommendations/requirements regarding COVID-19. <br /> The purpose of this document is to supplement existing site-specific Health and Safety Plans(HASPs)and provide <br /> interim health and safety guidance to minimize potential exposure to SARS-CoV-2. Should additional scientific <br /> information or regulatory information change, this document shall be updated accordingly. <br /> 2. SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY <br /> This guidance covers all Roux employees and the subcontractors that Roux oversees. Site specific HASPs shall <br /> be developed to incorporate elements of mitigative measures against COVID-19 exposure. If work cannot be <br /> carried out in compliance with this guidance, the project shall be further evaluated by the Project Principal (PP), <br /> Office Manager(OM), and Corporate Health and Safety Director(CHSD) prior to work authorization. <br /> Roux subcontractors are required to review,comply with,and implement Roux's COVID-19 Interim Health and Safety <br /> Guidance while on Site. Subcontractors may implement additional preventative measures as they see fit. All work <br /> shall be conducted in a manner consistent with the federal, state, and local guidance as it relates to COVID-19. <br /> 3. BACKGROUND <br /> What is COVID-19? <br /> COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel <br /> coronavirus that was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China.This virus continues to <br /> spread internationally and within the United States. Multiple variants of the virus that causes COVID-19 are <br /> circulating globally. There are currently several vaccines which have been developed which are authorized, <br /> recommended and effective at protecting you from getting sick. <br /> What are the symptoms of COVID-19? <br /> Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed COVID-19 cases. <br /> Symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days following exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms or combinations <br /> of symptoms may have COVID-19: <br /> • Fever or chills 0 New loss of taste or smell <br /> • Cough 0 Sore throat <br /> • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing 0 Congestion or runny nose <br /> • Fatigue 0 Nausea or vomiting <br /> • Muscle or body aches 0 Diarrhea <br /> • Headache <br /> This list is not all possible symptoms. The CDC will continue to update this list as they learn more about the virus. <br /> For an updated symptom list please reference the following link for CDC Symptoms of Coronavirus. <br /> If someone develops emergency warning signs for COVID-19, they should be instructed to get medical attention <br /> immediately.
