A=COM <br /> 4.8.2 As appropriate, exposure monitoring at HAZWOPER sites will be conducted to determine explosive <br /> and oxygen levels, monitor and control employee exposures to airborne contaminants, and to <br /> determine and regulate controlled work area boundaries (e.g., support zone, contamination <br /> reduction zone, and exclusion zone)for the protection of non-HAZWOPER workers and the general <br /> public. <br /> 4.8.3 Specific exposure monitoring requirements will be established in individual SH&E Plans. Refer to <br /> S3AM-127-PR1 Exposure Monitoring.All monitoring efforts using direct reading instruments and <br /> will remain part of the project file. <br /> 4.8.4 Work Area Exposure Monitoring <br /> • Work area exposure monitoring will include breathing zone readings for the maximum exposed <br /> worker(s); <br /> • Results will be used to determine adequacy of PPE (especially respiratory protection). Specific <br /> criteria for upgrade/downgrade will be established in the SH&E Plan. <br /> 4.8.5 Perimeter Exposure Monitoring <br /> • Perimeter air samples will be collected when the potential exists for airborne contaminants to <br /> migrate off-site and will be collected near the work zones when performing work at an active <br /> client facility. Refer to S3AM-127-PR1 Exposure Monitoring; <br /> • Perimeter exposure monitoring will be conducted at locations downwind from the project <br /> activities at a minimum (also upwind if the potential exists for offsite contamination to migrate <br /> onto the site). <br /> 4.8.6 Exposure results will be posted on site and explained in a safety briefing. <br /> 4.8.7 Employees will receive a written statement of results within 15 days of receipt from the laboratory. <br /> 4.8.8 Results of all personal exposure monitoring will be provided to the SH&E department for inclusion <br /> in the employee medical records, refer to S3AM-017-PR1 Injury&Illness Recordkeeping. <br /> 5.0 Records <br /> 5.1 All forms and documents generated during a HAZWOPER project will be maintained in the project file. <br /> 5.2 All medical screening and surveillance documentation shall be retained for 30 years. <br /> 6.0 Attachments <br /> 6.1 63AM-117-ATT1 Spill Notification Number for North America <br /> Hazardous Waste Operations(S3AM-117-PR1) <br /> Revision 3 July31,2019 <br /> PRINTED COPIES ARE UNCONTROLLED.
