A=COM <br /> 3.5 S3AM-209-PR1 Risk Assessment&Management <br /> 3.6 S3AM-325-PR1 Lockout Tagout <br /> 3.7 S3AM-332-PR1 Hot Work <br /> 4.0 Procedure <br /> 4.1 Roles and Responsibilities <br /> 4.1.1 Corporate SH&E Management System & Prequalification Manager <br /> The SH&E Department will maintain this procedure and include it in the annual review of the <br /> AECOM Americas SH&E procedures. <br /> 4.1.2 SH&E Manager(or designee) <br /> The SH&E Manager will provide technical guidance to projects that involve the use/survey of non- <br /> ionizing sources as well as identifying the proper controls to mitigate employee exposure to non- <br /> ionizing radiation sources, including UV radiation. In addition, SH&E Managers will: <br /> • Review and approve all exposure plans, such as Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection Plans <br /> (NIRPP); <br /> • Conduct non-ionizing radiation hazard assessments; <br /> • Confirm applicable awareness training on non-ionizing radiation hazards is available to project <br /> teams. Refer to S3AM-003-PR1 SH&E Training; <br /> • Authorize the use of a Class 313 and 4 lasers. <br /> 4.1.3 Manager <br /> Managers are responsible for the overall safety and planning for a project. Managers are also <br /> responsible for: <br /> • Verifying that the presence of non-ionizing radiation sources at project work sites are identified <br /> in the applicable SH&E Plan and Task Hazard Assessment(THA)prior to commencing field <br /> activities; <br /> • Addressing and controlling potential non-ionizing radiation hazards through consultation with <br /> the SH&E Manager, subject matter experts(as appropriate), and/or development of a NIRPP; <br /> • Verifying incident and injury reporting procedures are followed when a suspected <br /> overexposure to non-ionizing radiation, an incident of sunburn, or other excessive non-ionizing <br /> radiation exposure occurs in the workplace; <br /> • Monitoring employee compliance with the requirements of this policy; <br /> • Confirming employees complete non-ionizing radiation awareness training as directed by the <br /> SH&E Manager. <br /> 4.1.4 Employee <br /> • Will not disturb or handle any non-ionizing radiation sources or work in any identified non- <br /> ionizing radiation hazard area(e.g.., Controlled Environment)without appropriate training and <br /> safety procedures; <br /> • Will work in accordance with all established manufacturer, client, and NIRPP requirements; <br /> • Will identify both known and suspected non-ionizing radiation sources on the THA and report <br /> any change in site conditions related to non-ionizing radiation sources to the Manager; <br /> • Will immediately notify the Manager of the presence or suspected presence of previously <br /> unidentified non-ionizing radiation sources in the workplace, and cease all work activities <br /> involving potential exposure to non-ionizing radiation until further direction is received; <br /> • Will use suitable personal protective equipment to the non-ionizing radiation hazards. <br /> Non-Ionizing Radiation(S3AM-121-PR1) <br /> Revision 3 July 31,2019 <br /> PRINTED COPIES ARE UNCONTROLLED.CONTROLLED COPY IS AVAILABLE ON COMPANY INTRANET. 2 of 8 <br />
