The work plan was submitted as
discussed during our meeting with you on 16 January 2020.
In the work plan,Trihydro proposes to destroy the existing nested soil vapor well
APSV-9/10 due to damage to the well box and surrounding concrete and the observation
of standing water and odorous soil in the well vault. A new nested well will be installed to
replace ASPV-9/10 at a location within 10 feet of the existing well. The well materials for
ASPV-9/10 will be removed and it will be abandoned in accordance with San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department requirements.
The replacement well will consist of one 8-inch long soil vapor probe set at a depth of
approximately 9 feet(APSV-9R)and a second vapor probe set at a depth of approximately
5 feet(APSV-1 OR). An installation summary report will be submitted following completion
of the well replacement activities. Following completion of the well installation activities,
soil vapor samples will be collected from the replacement wells on a semiannual basis.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the proposed work in the work plan. Please
submit the proposed installation summary report by 20 November 2020. Please provide
us with a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to initiation of the field work so that we have an
opportunity to observe the work.
KARL E.LPNOLEY act.P.E.,CHAIR I PATRICK PHLUPA,Eso.,EXECUTIVE OFFICER
nousunc OrjVq*M.w,whOCOM ..u.Reero I •+--K.OE=M9 KEV/MntMI..n.y
