( y
antea'group
photoionization detector(PID) calibrated to 100 parts per million by volume of isobutylene.
Antea Group will collect soil samples selected for laboratory analysis in methanol-preserved volatile organic
analysis (VOA) soil sampling kits in accordance with United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Method 5035. Each sample will be sealed, labeled in accordance with laboratory-specified sampling procedures,
and submitted under chain-of-custody protocol to a State of California approved laboratory for the following
analyses:
• Gasoline range organics (GRO) by EPA Method 8015M;
• Diesel range organics(DRO) by EPA Method 8015M;
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes(BTEX), dibromoethane (EDB), 1,2-dichloroethance(1,2-
DCA), naphthalene, methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether
(DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether(ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME), and ethanol by EPA Method
8260B.
SECTION 4.2.2: WELL SURVEYING
Upon completion, the monitoring wells will be surveyed by a licensed surveyor for elevation, latitude, and
longitude. Antea Group will upload the survey data to GeoTracker as required.
SECTION 4.2.3: WELL DEVELOPMENT
A minimum of 72 hours following installation, the monitoring wells will be developed using a surge block, bailer,
and submersible pump. During well development,water will be removed until it becomes visually clear and field
parameters, such as temperature, specific conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, oxidation reduction potential, and
turbidity have stabilized within 10 percent.
SECTION 4.2.4: GROUNDWATER SAMPLING
Following well development, Antea Group will gauge, purge, and sample wells MW-1 through MW-5. Antea
Group will submit the groundwater samples under chain-of-custody protocol,to a State of California approved
laboratory for the following analyses:
• GRO by EPA Method 801513;
• DRO by EPA Method 80158;
• BTEX, EDB, 1,2-DCA, naphthalene, MTBE,TBA, DIPE, ETBE,TAME, and ethanol by EPA Method 8260B.
SECTION 4.3: WASTE DISPOSAL
Waste generated during drilling and sampling activities will be contained in labeled, Department of
Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums.The drums will be temporarily stored on-site pending
laboratory results for waste characterization. Once the waste has been profiled, a qualified contractor will
transport and dispose of the drummed waste at approved disposal facilities.
SECTION 5.0: SCHEDULE AND REPORTING
Antea Group will begin field activities upon approval of this work plan.
