The DTSC collected additional samples from containers that were improperly <br /> disposed of into the trash or heated to accelerate evaporation of their contents to <br /> the atmosphere (DTSC, 2021 a and 2021 b). These samples were classified as <br /> toxic (SP-04A, SP-05A, SP-07, SP-08, SP-09), reactive (SP-04B), or had no <br /> exceedances (SP-06). <br /> 10.On 9 August 2021, the SJCEHD issued a second Small Quantity Hazardous <br /> Waste Generator Inspection Report, citing a Class I violation for the illegal <br /> disposal of hazardous waste without a permit, as determined by the DTSC's <br /> sampling report (SJCEHD, 2021d). The SJCEHD directed SPI to cease <br /> disposal of all hazardous wastes at unauthorized points. <br />
