This Workplan describes our proposed scope of services and <br /> outlines the proceduror and methods to be earployed IT complete the services. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Site consists of a vacant, irregularly shaped parcel, located in the downtown area of Stockton. The general layout of the Sift and sentencing area <br /> arc depicted on the Site Plan, Figure 2, <br /> In March 1992, a soil and groundwater investigation cunducted by Fungi Systems Environmemel, Inc. <br /> (ESEJ included the installation of duce groundwater movitoring wells (M W-I Ihroogh MW-3) at the <br /> Site. Gamlinc-irrfracted mil and groundwater were reported in rsch of the hearings, and free-product <br /> was observed in Isch of the three groundwater monitoring wells. <br /> In May 1993, three wdergromW storage tanks (USfs) (own 10,000-gallon unhanded gasoline and one <br /> 5,000ga11on 1®dcd gasoline) were removed from the Site by ME TM USTs aM assnc riled piping <br /> were reported to be in good Condition with the exception of the cwrtM1emmat UST (10,000-gallon <br /> unleaded gamliae) which contained one 7/8-itwh bole in the bonom of the DID .
