(TreaTek) M1v conducted a review of the November 1s, last Earth Systems Environmental Inc. (ESE) Site Investigation We* Plan far the Intl East Miner Avenue site. While the proposed actWltles appear to be adequate as an initial phase for preliminary site characterization, TreaTek has severe] comments, both general and specific In nature, which should be addressed poor to the Initiation al activities. TrwTek's comments are as follows: 0 ESE's work plan Is specifically geared towards the delineation of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds within the site soils and shallow groundwater specifically from the unleaded gasoline storage tank. While the unleaded gasoline storage tank Is the suspected sources, alternate sources should not be rated out and the investigation should address this possibility. 0 The soil sampling protocol as established within the work plan specifies sail sample collection at the groundwater capillary hinge and at a depth of ten feat below the ground surface. This protocol will not provide information as; to possible petroleum hydrocarbon residues in the vadose zone. TreaTek suggests collection and analyses of at least two vadose zone sail samples. a Although net specifically mentioned, reference Is Made to the collection of soil samples from below the groundwater table.
