All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa lights and the ground fault circuit interrupter (GFI) were not tested due to staff being unable to turn <br />on the spa light. Locate light switch and test the GFI to ensure public safety. Correct today. <br />Provide proof of correction to cmuro@sjgov.org or to 209-561-8923. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of <br />the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck <br />lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and <br />shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: The handrails at the spa are loose. Repair/replace handrails within five days <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a <br />point above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) <br />Pool operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained.
