Equipment Decontamination & Waste Many e
Non-dedicated sampling equipment will be decontaminated prior to use, and following
sampling by: 1) washing with trisodium phosphate (Alconox) solution, with an exterior
rinse; 2) rinsing the interior and exterior of the sample equipment with tap water; 3)
followed by an internal and external deionized water(DI) wash. All soil generated during
sampling will be stored on-site in an area generally lacking public access. Disposal
alternatives will be evaluated based on the results of soil analysis.
Borehole Abatement
All borings will be abandoned by filling the annulus with a neat cement slurry to
approximately 5 inches below grade and finished with matching surface material (asphalt,
concrete, or native material). All work will be done in accordance with San Joaquin County
Ordinance, California State Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-81, 74-90, and
subsequent bulletins, and the conditions of the Permit Application, including any
conditions which may be added or changed by SJCEMD upon review of the Application
and issuance of the Permit.
4.1.3 Chemical Analysis
Soil samples will be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-d) full
list by EPA Method 8015M, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) by EPA
Method GUMS, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including the gasoline
constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX)by EPA Method 8260B.
4.1.4 Technical Report
Following completion of the tasks listed above, receipt of chemical analysis results, and
data interpretation; a report of findings will be prepared. The report will include the
following at a minimum:
A description of the work performed,
Logs of all soil borings,
A description of the site and regional geology and hydrogeology,
Results of chemical analysis
Recommendations for no further action or justification for onsite
remediation(if appropriate)
03103126 A&M ENVIR ONMENTAL SERVICES 4
Work Plan for Site Investigation
1049& 1016 S.
