Sammons, Lynsey [EHD]
From: Andrew Guglielmo <aguglielmo@keramida.com>
Sent: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 2:44 PM
To: Alaniz, John [EHD]; Sammons, Lynsey [EHD]
Cc: Suszycki, Michael [EHD]; Craig Feaga; Brian Kolsters; Nick Snoreen; Robert Jackson;
Donald Ning
Subject: Re: PR0522736 -4101 Arch Rd. - PBR
Thanks for continuing the dialogue. I want to ensure that we meet your expectations while also finding a solid
solution for the Lamar Tool and Die business.
think we need to clarify what actually occurs at the facility. I could have been clearer initially, so I want to
apologize for this upfront.
The coolant that leaves the CNC machines and enters the recycling system is filtered for reuse in the industrial
process. It is reused until it is spent, at which point it is evaporated. It is not a waste in any of those processes. The
only material leaving the system would be the filters and sludges from the coolant recycler and evaporator.
also want to use this opportunity to confirm that the other waste streams, such as mop water and part-
washing determinations, are in progress. With the recent rains, the labs are way behind.Just to note, these waste
streams do not go into the evaporator.
should note that this is a completely different process from what happens in Modesto, as the die spray IS
hazardous waste, much to Craig's joy in managing it.
For that reason, the evaporator is not being used for hazardous waste treatment. Please let me know if you agree
so that LTND can proceed with evaporating once again.
Please give me a call if you have any additional questions about the process or need additional information. I
appreciate your cooperation on this process.
Best regards,
Andrew Guglielmo, MS, QSP, QSD/P
Senior Project Manager, CA Compliance Services
; KERAM I DA
+1 (805) 423-6826 (m)
+1 (916) 928-6169 (o)
aquglielmo@keramida.com
www.keramida.com
From:Alaniz,John [EHD] <jalanizl@sjgov.org>
Sent: Monday,April 20, 2026 3:40 PM
To:Andrew Guglielmo<aguglielmo@keramida.com>; Sammons, Lynsey [EHD] <Isammons@sjgov.org>
1
