5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using
industry standard protocol. The Soils in this area are classified as Redding Gravelly Loam and
San Joaquin Sandy Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the
United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The
Redding Gravelly Loam and San Joaquin Sandy Loam both have a permeability that is moderate.
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
test holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each
parcel: Four shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each of the proposed parcel.
6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including
depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak
(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes was excavated to depths varying from 22.5 to 27
inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with
County Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Corey Pottoff and Bradley Handel of
Dillon & Murphy on March 11, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. On April 2, 2026 at 7:30 a.m., the 24 hours
presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this
time.
6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period
(hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum
12 inches): On April 3, 2026 at 7:30 a.m., the shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water
were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed
the minimum County requirements.
6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix
for Test Results Form.
I'
" 3
