Heorot Power Holdings - 3 - 1 August 2018
6. Due to the presence of landfilled wastes buried in the area under investigation, Staff
recommend including step-out borings or trenches to delineate the boundaries of the site
waste cell(s) that are known to extend across the property boundary from the former
North and South Waste Cells at 17100 Murphy Parkway in Lathrop. In addition to the
proposed sampling and analyses, the Work Plan must also include a plan to sample
discolored soil or encountered waste for characterization during field operations.
Regional Water Board Conclusions
Staff of the Regional Water Board conditionally concur with this Work Plan proposal under the
condition that the above-stated Regional Water Board comments are satisfactorily addressed in
writing, including a detailed facility layout plan, prior to commencement of the proposed Work
Plan. Please notify Regional Water Board staff a minimum of 72 hours before initiating field
work to facilitate staff inspection of the work.
If you have any questions regarding this letter or project, you may contact me at (916) 464-4825
or at ann.palmerCp,waterboards.ca.gov .
Sincerely,
Ann M. Palmer
Water Resource Control Engineer
Site Cleanup Section
cc: William Little, AGE (email)
