SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Octavio Medina to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for Pham Thuy Van Thi's <br /> property located at 4440 East Cherokee Road, Stockton, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study were conducted to determine <br /> whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system, as well as to estimate if the <br /> use of septic systems will impact ground water quality. The study was performed <br /> according to the requirements of Section 9-604.010(d) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The owner is planning to construct a two-bedroom accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on the <br /> Site (Plate 2). <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 087-090-02, 0.6 acre in size. It <br /> is located at 4440 East Cherokee Road, Stockton, California. A house and accessory <br /> building are located on the Site; the remainder of the parcel is open or landscaped <br /> (Plate 3). A domestic well supplies water to the Site. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 32 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned R-L, <br /> Low Density Residential. The San Joaquin County Community Development <br /> Department states that this zoning designation "is intended to provide for <br /> neighborhoods consisting of detached, single family residences located within or <br /> immediately adjacent to population centers which have public services." <br /> LOGE 2620 Page 1 <br />
