Preserve soil samples in the second brass sleeve by covering both ends with Teflon sheets, <br /> capping, and sealing with tape. <br /> 7. Label and Iog samples on a chain-of-custody form. <br /> S. Store samples in a chilled container, under ice and transport to a State-certified laboratory for <br /> analysis. Selected soil samples collected near the heating oil UST will be analyzed for TPH- <br /> d/heating oil, TPH-g, MTBE and BTE&X in accordance with EPA methods 8015m, 8015m, <br /> 8020 and 8020, respectively. Selected soil samples collected near the gasoline UST will be <br /> analyzed from TPH-g, MTBE and BTE&X in accordance with EPA methods 8015m and <br /> 8020. Additional analysis may be requested based upon field observations. <br /> 9. . Monitor soil sample duplicates for the presence of volatile organics using a photo-ionization <br /> detector(PID) pre-calibrated to isobutylene. <br /> 10. Log soil sample duplicates in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System. <br /> I� 11. Backfill each probing to surface grade using Portland Cement. <br /> r 4.2. REPORTING PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of probing, sampling and laboratory analysis, a brief report will be prepared <br /> summarizing results of the work performed. The report will include procedures performed and <br /> laboratory findings. The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and will be reviewed <br /> and signed by a California Registered Geologist. <br />
