For six months following the applicaof any 3CCR section 6800 pesticide(s), runoff water from <br /> the tops and outer sides of canal banks and rights-of-way within runoff GWPAs shall move offsite as overland Flow onto <br /> adjacent land that is at least equal in size to the treated area where it infiltrates into the soil with no chance of flow into <br /> structures such as dry wells, ditches, or excavated retention areas with percolation rates of 0.2 inches per hour. "Overland <br /> Flow"is the movement of a thin film of water before the water collects into ditches, creeks, or streams. <br /> GWP-DIRECT 1 Director approved alternative <br /> CONDITION -GWP- DIRECT 1 -DIRECTOR APPROVED ALTERNATIVE <br /> The permittee shall follow the California Department of Pesticide Regulation Director's approved alternative management <br /> practices. <br /> GWP-DIRECT 2 Director approved interim use <br /> CONDITION -GWP-DIRECT 2-DIRECTOR APPROVED INTERIM USE <br /> The permittee may use the pesticides listed on 3CCR section 6800(a)as allowed by the California Department of Pesticide <br /> Regulation Director's interim use determination as made pursuant to either 3CCR section 6487.4(h)(2)or 6487.5(d)(2). <br /> GWP-L1 No irrigation <br /> CONDITION -GWP-L1 -LEACHING GROUNDWATER PROTECTION AREAS. NO IRRIGATION. <br /> The permittee or his representatives shall not apply irrigation water for at least six(6) months after the application of any 3CCR <br /> section 6800(a) pesticide. <br /> GWP-L2 Bed or berm application <br /> CONDITION -GWP-L2-LEACHING GROUND WATER PROTECTION AREAS. BED OR BERM APPLICATION. <br /> If the permittee chooses to apply a pesticide listed on 3CCR section 6800(a), the resulting application to the planting bed or the <br /> berm must be above the level of irrigation water in the furrow or basin and the water level shall remain at or below that level for <br /> six(6) months following the application. <br /> GWP-L3 Managed irrigation <br /> CONDITION -GWP-L3 -LEACHING GROUND WATER PROTECTION AREAS. MANAGED IRRIGATION. <br /> For six(6) months after the application of pesticides listed in 3CCR section 6800(a), the permittee shall manage irrigation so <br /> that the ratio of the amount of irrigation water applied divided by the net irrigation requirement is 1.33 or less. <br /> GWP-NC General Noncrop inside GWPAs <br /> GWP-NC <br /> For six(6) months after the application of 3CCR section 6800(a) pesticides within a Leaching GWPA, the permittee shall no <br /> apply any irrigation water.The use of 3CCR 6800(a)pesticides within Runoff GWPAs is prohibited. <br /> GWP-R1 Soil disturbance <br /> CONDITION -GWP-R1 -RUNOFF GROUNDWATER PROTECTION AREAS. SOIL DISTURBANCE. <br /> Within seven days before an application of a 3CCR section 6800(a) pesticide, the property operator shall disturb the soil to be <br /> treated by using a disc, harrow, rotary tiller, or other mechanical device. This condition does not apply to bentazon, and does <br /> not apply to areas to be treated immediately adjacent to the crop row as long as it does not exceed thirty-three (33)percent of <br /> the distance between crop rows. <br /> GWP-R2 Incorporated <br /> CONDITION -GWP-R2-RUNOFF GROUNDWATER PROTECTION AREAS. INCORPORATED. <br /> Within forty-eight(48) hours after a 3CCR section 6800(a) pesticide application, the property operator shall incorporate the <br /> pesticide into at least ninety(90) percent of the area treated by using a disc, harrow rotary tiller, by sprinkler or low flow <br /> irrigation (including chemigation), or another mechanical method, if allowed by the label,while using a minimum of a quarter <br /> (114) inch of irrigation water and a maximum of either one(1) inch or the maximum amount of irrigation water specified on the <br /> label, at application rates that do not cause surface water runoff from the treated property or to wells on the treated property. <br />
