The TPR is being amended for the following proposed changes: <br /> • Creation of a containerized self-haul recycling area, where white goods, tires, metals, <br /> e-waste, clean wood, cardboard, carpets, and mattresses may be unloaded by self- <br /> haul users. Self-haul green waste will remain in this area. A small bin may be placed <br /> in this area to collect minimal amounts of residual waste that may be present in <br /> recycling loads. <br /> • Relocation of commercial green waste tipping and loading to the south processing <br /> area. <br /> • Creation of a gate for use by vehicles with commercial recycling loads. Please see <br /> revised Figures 2 and 6. <br /> • Replacement of the term "compactor"with "size-reduction equipment' in the text and <br /> Figure 5. <br /> The proposed changes are expected to reduce backups, improve service for customers and <br /> encourage recycling and appropriate disposal of green waste. In addition, the changes would <br /> significantly improve safety by eliminating the current mixing of commercial garbage trucks with <br /> private vehicles in the green waste processing area.
