Donations that are deemed acceptable will be sorted accordingly. Smaller items will be placed in
large collection bins, while larger items will be directed to a designated tent-covered area. All
donated items will be organized and stored in one of three storage containers: one 40-foot
container and two 20-foot containers. In the event of overflow, excess items will be placed in the
designated exchange area beneath a covered tent. Donations delivered to the designated drop-
off area will be available for community members to take free of charge. Items that remain on-site
for up to 120 days will be offered to local charities for pickup. If the items are not claimed, they
will be properly disposed of.
Acceptable items include, but are not limited to, furniture, small appliances, electronics, and
household goods. We reserve the right to reject any items that do not meet the acceptable
standards. If items are not accepted, individuals have two options: (1) remove the items from the
premises for proper disposal through their waste collection service; (2) utilize available onsite
disposal services, which may be subject to applicable gate fees. Donations to the material
exchange are free of charge. However, this program operates independently from the Transfer
Station services and shall not be construed as part of, or in lieu of, any services provided by the
Transfer Station.
The material exchange program supports the County's waste diversion and source reduction
goals by reducing landfill-bound materials, promoting reuse, conserving resources, and
advancing circular economy practices within the County's integrated waste management system.
1.6.4 Office and Maintenance Building
The office and Maintenance Building provides office space, equipment maintenance facilities,
sanitary facilities.
1.6.5 Roads
Roads and driveways at the site are designed and constructed to withstand daily loading and
minimize the generation of dust.
