As required by the laboratory, the sample was collected in a plastic container and three
glass vials for nitrate and DBCP analysis, respectively. The sample was placed on ice
and transported under chain of custody to FGL Environmental, Stockton.
Nitrate was detected in the water sample at a concentration of 18.8 mg/L-N, significantly
over the MCL of 10 mg/L-N. DBCP was detected in the sample at a concentration of
0.09 µg/L, under the MCL of 0.2 µg/L but over the MCLG of zero. The laboratory
analytical results are attached as Appendix 5 of this report.
Soil Profile and Geologic Information
The Site is depicted on the Geologic and geophysical maps of the Stockton 30' x 60'
quadrangle, California (Delattre, et al., 2023) as within a map unit of the Modesto
Formation upper member, described as undivided alluvium (Plate 11).
The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the USDA Web
Soil Survey to be composed of Chuloak coarse sandy loam (USDA, 2026) (Plate 12).
The table below presents some selected properties of this soil type:
Table 1. See description of the map unit for
composition and behavior characteristics of the map unit.
Soil Borings
On April 12, 2026, Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose
of percolation testing. The boring was four inches in diameter, 2.23 feet deep, and was
excavated by hand auger. The location of the boring is indicated on Plate 13.
The soil in the boring was similar to that described by the Soil Survey. Silty, fine to
coarse sand was encountered to the full depth of the hole. The soil log is presented on
Plate 14.
LOGE 2619 Page 5
