Soil Gas Investigation—Work Plan
530 North Stanislaus Street
Stockton,California
Page 2
Shut-in tests will be performed to ensure that no leaks are present in the sample train. The wells will then be
purged of three void volumes (tubing and sandpack)and sampled using 400 milliliter Summa Canisters at a
flow rate less than and up to 200 milliliters per minute(mL/minute).
During the collection of each soil vapor sample, a leak detection test will be conducted to evaluate whether
there is no intrusion of ambient air into each respective vapor sample. During the collection of each vapor
sample, 1,1-difluoroethane (DFA) will be applied within a shroud placed directly around the sampling
interface at the surface. DFA will be included as a constituent on the chain-of-custody to be analyzed for at
the laboratory. Samples will be collected into 1 Liter Summa Canisters. The cnnisters will be collected
and relinquished under chain-of-custody procedures to a State-certified analytical laboratory. All soil gas
samples will be analyzed by EPA Method TO-15 SIM.
Condor anticipates using a drilling rig equipped with direct push capability, which will minimize soil
cuttings generated during the investigation. Any soil cuttings generated during the investigation will be
placed in a 55-gallon drum or lidded plastic bucket, sealed, labeled, and left on-site pending laboratory
analyses for disposal characterization. All borings will be backfilled with neat cement grout pursuant to
SJCEHD guidelines.
4.0 REPORTING
Condor will evaluate the laboratory analytical results, qualify the data, and compare results to regulatory
screening thresholds. Condor will prepare a report detailing the investigation including: detailed geologic
logs, laboratory analytical results, and conclusions/recommendations. The deliverables will include one
electronic copy of the report and up to three hard copies, if requested. Additional hard copies can be
included for additional fees, if requested.
Respectfully submitted,
CONDOR EARTH
Luke Castle, PG#9945
Associate Geologist
X:\Project\9000_pj\9116 HACSJ As-Needed Phase I&II ESAs\9116B Satellite Apartments Phase I ESA\Phase II ESA\Reports\Work Plan\WP
20240411 530 N Stan.doc
kxtz
C:QNDOR
