DTSC provided comments on the Data Gaps Memo and <br /> the COC Report by letter dated January 31, 2019. The Port has indicated it does not agree <br /> with DTSC's comments on the COC Report, and will provide a response to comments on <br /> March 15, 2019. <br /> On March 11, 2019, the Port submitted the Revised Groundwater Data Gaps Site <br /> Investigation Memorandum (Revised Data Gaps Memo) to DTSC. The Revised Data <br /> Gaps Memo proposes collection of grab groundwater samples from temporary borings and <br /> limited sampling of certain wells for select contaminants. The Port requested DTSC <br /> approve the Revised Data Gaps Memo on or before March 15, 2019, to enable the Port to <br /> obtain boring permits from San Joaquin County by April 11, 2019. This will allow the Port <br /> to collect samples from the borings beginning April 15, 2019. In turn, the data will aid in <br /> conducting the sitewide groundwater sampling planned for July 2019. <br /> DTSC notes sampling without resolution of DTSC comments on the COC Report and the <br /> Data Gaps Memo limits the utility of the data. Even so, DTSC agrees collecting the <br /> samples now will aid in conducting the sitewide groundwater sampling in July 2019. <br /> Therefore, DTSC approves the sampling proposed in the Revised Data Gaps Memo. <br /> e Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
