Sierra View Court, Clements
APN: 01926058, SU-2601398
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading Study (SSNL) dated June 18, 2026 for the above noted location and has the following comments for
your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term nitrate loading impact to groundwater from the proposed
three-bedroom home and two-bedroom ADU.
Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings:
a. Based on the information provided the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for
standard OWTS usage for the proposed development pursuant to San Joaquin County Development
Title, Section 9-604.010(d)
b. Percolation test conducted on June 2, 2026 yields a percolation rate of 12.5 min/inch. At this rate an
8' soil separation is required between bottom of dispersal field and the groundwater. Groundwater is
reported at 140-170 feet below surface grade. (San Joaquin County OWTS Standard Table 1.10.2).
c. Obtain an installation permit for residential onsite waste water treatment system (OWTS) from this
department. Inspection is required before back fill of OWTS excavations. Request for inspection 24
hours in advance by calling our inspection line (209) 953-7697. (SJC OWTS Standard 2)
d. Construction of an individual domestic water well under permit and inspection by the Environmental
Health Department is required at the time of development (San Joaquin County Development Title,
Section 9-601.010 (b)).
If you have any questions please contact Aaron Gooderham, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, Sr. REHS, at agooderham@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3062.
AA6rt1
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
CC: Live Oak Geo Environmental
407 W.
