A N J O A Q U IN Environmental Health Department <br />COUNTY—O U N T Y— AMENDED <br />4/20/2022 <br />Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br />Love's Travel Stop#538 1 15250 N THORNTON RD, Lodi April 12, 2022 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br />Item# Remarks <br />301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION: Large staining on soil observed on the north entrance of the maintenance shop. Per shop <br />technician Josey, he believe it is not oil but tire lube that got onto the soil. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br />possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br />waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean the stain. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of <br />Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />401 CCR 66265.171 Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste was found stored on-site in containers that are not in good condition. <br />One black metal 55 gallon drum in the maintenance shop was observed to be pinched with red liquid observed on <br />top of the drum. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in a containers that are in good condition. If a <br />container holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it <br />begins to leak,the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in <br />good condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition. <br />Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />FA0021886 PR0539989 SCO01 04/12/2022 <br />EHD 22-02 Rev.12/06/2021 Page 6 of 9 Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br />1868 E.
