The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not <br />been addressed for AVILA AUTO REPAIR INC as of June 23, 2026. <br />Open violations from April 18, 2022 inspection <br />Violation #302 -Failed to have all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br />equipment. <br />OBSERVATION: The facility is not equipped with the following equipment: <br />-Spill control equipment (absorbent material). <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br />All facilities shall be equipped with the following, unless it can be demonstrated to the Department that none of the <br />hazards posed by waste handled at the facility could require a particular kind of equipment specified below: <br />(a)an internal communications or alarm system capable of providing immediate emergency instruction (voice or <br />signal) to facility personnel; <br />(b)a device, such as a telephone (immediately available at the scene of operations) or a hand-held two-way radio, <br />capable of summoning emergency assistance from local police departments, fire departments, or State or local <br />emergency response teams; <br />(c)portable fire extinguishers, fire control equipment (including special extinguishing equipment, such as that using <br />foam, inert gas, or dry chemicals), spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment; and <br />(d)water at adequate volume and pressure to supply water hose streams, or foam producing equipment, or <br />automatic sprinklers, or water spray systems . <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately obtain the following equipment: spill control equipment (absorbent material). <br />Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental <br />Health Department within 30 days. <br />□This violation was corrected □This violation will be corrected by (date): _______ _□Supporting documents included <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: -------------------- <br />Violation #608 -Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br />OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br />on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: <br />-One 55-gallon drum of drained used oil filters were observed on site over 1 year, accumulation start date of <br />3/1/2019 listed on label. <br />REGULATION GUIDAN CE: <br />Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br />California Health & Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater than one year. Used filters not <br />stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br />action statement, disposal records and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br />Department (EHD) within 30 days. <br />Page 1 of 2
